Welcome to the Minecraft Modding Summer Camp here at TechnoSmartKids! Building Minecraft mods is a great way to learn programming, harness creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills while making your favorite game even better. In this camp, we will learn the basics of modding Minecraft using basic Java concepts. Specifically, we will be using the light-weight and fast Fabric modding toolchain to create items, blocks, tools, and armor. We will start by creating a development environment, writing code in Java, and then running our code in Minecraft to test the results. By the end of the camp, participants will have the ability to create basic mods in Minecraft and to build on their knowledge. This camp is great for 9-12 year old students interested in programming and game design. Pre requisite: Basic programming knowledge is prefered Please Note : For this camp the students will need to bring thier own laptop with the application downloaded.

My three boys have taken classes with Techno Smart Kids for a few years now. They have enjoyed learning computer skills, scratch and python so far. The teachers make learning these skills fun and engaging. They look forward to learning each week. The Saturday classes have been great for the small classes and the teacher is wonderful. The classes at the elementary school are great as well. I would highly recommend the classes through techno smart kids!
